Region One of the Florida RV Trade Association hosts its annual fall RV show at Germain Arena in Estero, Fla., from Oct. 30 through Nov. 1, according to Chris Morse, president of Region One.
“This is the first local RV show of the season during what many are saying will be another banner year for the RV industry,” Morse said in a news release.
Called the “Fall Clean Sweep RV Show,” the three-day event will feature eight local dealers “cleaning out” their new and used inventory to make room for new 2016 models.
Items on display include a wide selection of new and used RVs of all styles, brands and price ranges, including motorhomes, travel trailers, fifth wheels, park models, van campers and popup camping trailers.
Participating dealers are: Camping World, Coconut RV, Dream RV, Holiday Trailers, North Trail RV, Palm RV, Park Model City and Skip Eppers RV. A variety of exhibitors also will be on hand to offer services to make the outdoor experience more enjoyable.
According to the most recent research from the RV Industry Association, wholesale shipments for all RVs through July 2015 were at 229,759, which represents a gain of 4.4 percent over the 220,042 units shipped through the same 2014 period. The outlook for 2015 is that nearly 374,000 units will ship, rising to 383,000 in 2016.
Towable RVs continue to be the largest RV segment with 88 percent of all units shipped while motorhomes made up 12 percent of the market.
“This admission-free event is the Association’s way of saying ‘thanks’ to the public for supporting us throughout the year,” Chris said. “By sponsoring these shows, the trade association allows the public to view a huge variety of RVs in one place.”
The RV show is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. all three days. Admission and parking are free for everyone. On-site financing will be available to qualified buyers.
To reach Germain Arena, take exit 123 (Corkscrew Road) and go east to Ben Hill Griffin Road. The arena is just north of Miromar Outlets.
