Bob Pettit, Keystone RV Company’s VP of support services, has been named Urban Conservationist of the Year by the Elkhart County Soil and Water Conservation District. Pettit and his team are responsible for providing support for more than 42 facilities, encompassing over 3.6 million square feet and over 5,000 employees in Indiana and Oregon.

“This is a huge and unexpected honor and speaks highly of the culture we have at Keystone,” says Pettit.  “We live and work in the community and strive to set a good example not only as a great place to work but also as a great neighbor.”

The award was presented at the District’s 75th Annual Meeting on Feb. 28.

The mission of the Elkhart County Soil and Water Conservation District is to assist and educate citizens, land users and other agencies in the wise use of natural resources in Elkhart County, according to Deb Jimison, conservationist for the organization.

“Bob’s helpful spirit and willingness to work with the Greater Elkhart County Stormwater Partnership in reducing soil erosion at Keystone properties has immeasurable benefits to our community by protecting our surface water and municipal storm water infrastructure,” Jimison said.
