The RVDA announced that Thor Industries is a Silver Partner of the 2017 RV Dealers International Convention/Expo held Nov. 6 to 10 at Bally’s in Las Vegas. For the fifth consecutive year, Thor Industries has provided high-level financial backing for the premier dealer education event of the year.
The convention is sponsored by the RVDA, RVDA of Canada, and the Mike Molino RV Learning Center.
As part of its 2017 partnership agreement with RVDA, Thor Industries will once again support the popular, centrally located, dealer lounge. The lounge comes complete with comfortable seating, additional room to work or take a break, and other amenities for convention attendees.
Thor Industries includes: Airstream, Bison, CrossRoads, Cruiser RV, DRV, Dutchmen, Entegra, Heartland RV, Highland Ridge, Jayco, Keystone RV, K-Z, Livin’ Lite, Redwood RV, Starcraft RV, Thor Motor Coach, and Venture RV.
“Our Silver Partner Thor Industries is back again, supporting educational efforts and adding an additional benefit through their support of the dealer lounge, giving our members a place to relax, network, and plan their days,” said RVDA Convention/Expo Committee Chairman Ron Shepherd, Camperland of Oklahoma president. “Our members continue to be grateful for this generous industry partner that shares our commitment to an educated workforce.”
Thor Industries President and CEO Bob Martin commented, “The RV industry is built on relationships, including the strong relationships that we have built with our dealers over many years. In support of our strong dealer base, we are pleased to once again support RVDA and their important educational efforts as a Silver Partner. Recognizing the essential role of ongoing training for dealers as they meet the emerging needs of RV consumers, we are honored to once again sponsor the dealer lounge at the 2017 RV Dealers International Convention/Expo.”
The convention theme is “Gear Up for Success” and features keynote speaker, Chris Helder at the opening general session.
The week starts with Vendor Training Plus on Monday and Tuesday, and includes a general session, educational, and networking programs for young executives, and track workshops designed to address the leading issues facing every department in the dealership. In addition, the Society of Certified RV Professionals will host an event featuring recognitions, an education component, and networking opportunities.
Track workshops, condensed into shorter timeframes, are being developed to respond to dealer demand for fast-paced, on target, and engaging presentations. In its planning, the convention committee focuses on dynamic presentations of the most current topics, and strives to bring new presenters to the convention.
Beyond educational and networking opportunities, the convention offers a sought-after location at the center of the Vegas strip at the iconic Bally’s hotel. Guest rooms at the convention rate are available at Bally’s and Paris.
The convention will also feature two exhibit halls filled with the RV industry’s top companies offering products and services to help dealers improve profitability.
