RVIA’s June survey of manufacturers found RV wholesale shipments finished above 40,000 units for the fourth consecutive month. Monthly wholesale shipments reached 47,416 units, an increase of 18.3 percent over the 40,072 units shipped in June 2016.
Through the first half of 2017, RV wholesale shipments have climbed to 256,430 units, up 13.3 percent over the 226,286 units shipped during the same time period last year.
All towable RVs, led by conventional travel trailers, totaled 42,240 units for the month, an increase of 20 percent compared to the 35,191 units shipped in June 2016. Year-to-date totals for towable RVs are up 13.2 percent to 223,644 units.
June motorhome shipments are up six percent to 5,176 units, paced by strong gains in the Class C market. Year-to-date motorhome shipments have reached 32,786 units on 14 percent growth over the 28,771 units shipped during the same time period last year.
