Nappanee Ind.-based Gulf Stream Coach will introduce new products as well as enhancements to all its major product lines at Open House as it prepares for a 30 percent production increase next year. The manufacturer will host meals, entertainment, and prizes from its display location near the RV Hall of Fame at the intersection of Executive Drive and Independence Court. The display will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, Sept. 18 to 21.
“Monday is traditionally ‘Gulf Stream Coach Day’ at the Open House, and is often one of our busiest days at the show, so we’ll be open all day long, with lunch and dinner for the crowd,” said Paul Campbell, Gulf Stream Coach director of marketing. “We’re also seeing a trend of dealers visiting our display multiple times during their stay, so we will have a chef on hand, room to relax in the shade of our huge tent, and stadium lighting set up so we can accommodate everyone, no matter what time is best for them.”
According to a company statement, product planners at all Gulf Stream divisions have worked closely with dealers to identify what RV customers are looking for, resulting in a broad selection of travel trailers and motorhomes.
“Dealers tell us that competitors’ products all look the same,” said Gulf Stream Coach Executive Vice President Phil Sarvari. “We’ve responded by going beyond traditional earth-tone fabrics and me-too floor plans, with distinctive new colors, features, floor plans, and decors that give our dealers travel trailers and motor homes their customers will fall in love with. Our goal: To make customers’ eyes light up and smiles appear when they step inside a Gulf Stream Coach product.”
To meet the demands of expanded offerings and increased sales, Gulf Stream Coach has initiated a program to increase overall production by 30 percent in the coming year. The increase is the result of physical changes to the production process, added production space, and expansion of the company’s PDI program.
“By offering some of the industry’s hottest, best-loved products, we’ve strengthened our dealer network with some of the top RV dealers in the industry over the past few years,” said Sarvari. “Plus, by ramping up production, we’re giving our dealers the tools they need to increase both the rate and number of retail turns they can generate in the coming year. With that kind of strong upside opportunity available, we’re encouraging all Elkhart Open House attendees to stop at our display to see what Gulf Stream Coach can do for them.”
