Grand Design Solitude unit number 10,000 came off line in September and has been shipped to Windish RV in Colorado.
“When we first started Grand Design there was just a concept of what our first product would be, and the Solitude was clearly what we wanted to launch our company with. It’s hard to believe that in just a few short years our team has reached this incredible 10,000th Solitude milestone. Congratulations to Nate Goldenberg (GM – Solitude and Momentum), Rob Groover (Solitude product manager) and the entire Solitude team for this exciting accomplishment. I would also like to personally thank our Grand Design customers and Grand Design dealers for your continued loyalty to our Grand Design brands and unique business model,” said Don Clark, president and CEO of Middlebury, Ind.-based Grand Design RV.
“Since the Solitude’s introduction the product has evolved into one of our industries top-selling fifth wheel brands and continues to be a leader in the luxury extended stay fifth wheel market,” Goldenberg said. “Instead of copying what is already being produced in the marketplace, we have listened to our customers and provided the product that they want.”
Grand Design RV launched the Solitude fifth wheel as its first entry into the RV market in 2013. Since that time, Grand Design has developed three out of the top 10 retail selling fifth wheel brands according to Statistical Surveys.
