The Missouri state legislature recently introduced a bill that would allow certain RVs more than 25 years old to be registered as historic vehicles.

The registration fee would cost $25, and exempt owners from certain safety inspections and provisions as historic vehicles in the state.

Missouri Rep. Nate Walker introduced the bipartisan bill, HB 35, which is co-sponsored by State Reps. Jim Neely and Brandon Ellington.

Walker represents District 3 in the state, which includes the area outside St. Louis and including Jefferson City.

“Any camping or fifth wheel trailer … that is more than 25 years old may be permanently registered upon payment of a registration fee of $25,” according to the bill. “Upon the transfer of the title to any such trailer, the registration shall be cancelled and the license plates issued therefor shall be returned to the director of revenue.”
