American Green Ventures is taking its latest absorbing material for spills to the market.
The product, SpillFix, is an organic absorbent that is designed to soak up hazardous liquid spills on contact, including oils, fuels, solvents, paints and chemicals, according to a news release. The product is avaialble through the JEGS catalog and website.
“JEGS is one of the nation’s largest online catalog distributors of automotive equipment, and we’re proud to be partnering with them to make SpillFix available to everyone,” American Green Ventures CEO R. John Smith said. “All consumers can now safely clean everyday spills, large and small, in half the time using 80 percent less product than silica-based clay products.”
The company said the product is all organic, lightweight, dust-free, non-carcinogenic and non-abrasive solution. Made from a byproduct of coconut coir, it instantly absorbs all types of hazardous and non-hazardous liquid spills. It can be reused over and over and disposed of in landfills without creating an environmental hazard.
SpillFix is now available to consumers through JEGS in a three-quart jar (absorbent capacity 2 quarts), a seven-pound bag (absorbent capacity 2 gallons), and a 20-pound bag (absorbent capacity 7 gallons).
