After moving in opposite directions for the past nine months, used motorized and towable prices at auction began to move in a coordinated manner in December, according to Black Book’s Market Insights.
Both categories rose, following seasonal patterns, according to Director of Specialty Markets Eric Lawrence.
“Prices are beginning to rise as we inch closer to the prime spring selling season and dealers begin to restock their lots in anticipation of the first customers that will be brought in by the warmer weather,” Lawrence said in the report. “I expect wholesale prices to continue to rise for the next several months, as has been historically typical for this time of year.”
The average selling price of motorhomes was $39,070, up $2,457 (6.7 percent) over November.
Travel trailer values rose 8.2 percent jumping $853 dollars to $11,189.
