PRVCA Details Upcoming Training Opportunities

The Pennsylvania RV and Camping Association will host several upcoming webinar and brick-and-mortar training opportunities for technicians and dealer leadership personell.

The courses include techinical training from Lippert, a service writer webinar series and a webinar on ranges and cooktops.

The Association will host Lippert technician training in their Southwestern District on (Feb. 17). The training will be held at the Comfort Inn in New Stanton, Pa. from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Lunch will be provided. Training is free and open to PRVCA members only (A $175 value). Earn 8 recertification hours by attending. 

Instructor Chet Dillenbeck will review navigation of the LCI website and the myLCIApp. The course will provide overviews of the Schwintek In-Wall Slideout and the MYRV system.

The service writer webinar series, presented by Marzahn and King Consulting, will take place every Friday – except March 11 – beginning Feb. 19 through March 25 from 1 to 2 p.m.

The cost is free to PRVCA members.

The RV Ranges and Cooktops course begins Feb. 22 and runs through March 20. 

The online program, which is run by Northampton Community College and the Pennsylvania RV and Camping Association, allows students to gain an in-depth understanding of RV maintenance with intensive, competency-based instruction.

Students simply log on to access the lecture notes, hands-on assignments, quizzes and chat with the instructor and other students. The program gives students the flexibility to complete the course from the comfort of their home or dealership without having the expense of traveling to a training facility.

The program is approved by RVIA and qualifies for recertification hours. Students receive a certificate of completion successful completion of the course. The program is designed for RV maintenance and sales personnel, service managers, factory field technicians, service representatives, inspectors and those seeking a new, hands-on career in a growing industry.

Cost: $137

The second of the four LP appliances, the RV range is broken down into its two main components, the stove and oven and each delineated further. Thermostat operation as well as flame structure is analyzed and studied. As with all LP appliances, safety precautions are continually emphasized. The importance of air to fuel ratios, applicable to all LP appliances, are identified and exemplified during this course.
