ELKHART, Ind. – The morning after a rainstorm that drenched concertgoers at Forest River’s Dynamax plant and caused the main tent at Thor’s RV/MH Hall of Fame exhibit to be evacuated, dealers awoke Wednesday to bright blue skies and temperatures that remained in the 60s.
The weather was a welcome relief after a blistering hot Open House 2017 and a warm and humid first two days of the 2018 event.
It also may have played a factor in bringing larger crowds out to both locations than were present much of Tuesday when rain was threatening.
It didn’t, however, seem to drive much traffic to the two supplier events that are coinciding with Open House Week. Few dealers seemed to be making their way to the large white tent near the Hall of Fame, although a handful were visiting the exhibits at the BAL facility on County Road 6.
Later in the afternoon, a large crowd waited patiently for Thor Industries to hold its annual drawing to give away a car. To read more about the event, and the winner of the Corvette, click here.
Closing out the Open House Week entertainment, country artist Trace Adkins performed for a large, appreciative crowd at Dynamax.
