Forest River is recalling certain 2018 to 2019 Glaval Bus Apollo, Commute, Concorde II, Entourage, Legacy, Primetime, Titan, Titan II Low Floor, and Universal shuttle buses equipped with Safe Fleet Prolo Roof Escape hatches. Due to a manufacturing issue, the roof hatch external handle may unexpectedly break under reasonable use. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 217, “Bus Emergency Exits and Window Retention and Release.”
Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will replace the hatch, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin Dec. 27. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-800-748-3440. Forest River’s number for this recall is 05-1115.
