Former EverGreen RVs President Don Emahiser will oversee operations at a Bristol, Ind., company with ownership ties to the now-defunct EverGreen RVs.
Emahiser, who served as president of Middlebury, Ind.-based EverGreen RVs from August 2015 until its abrupt closure in June, confirmed the position via phone from the Stealth Trailers offices in Bristol, Ind., where the company manufactures its lineup of enclosed aluminum cargo trailers, which are also sold under the Qualitec name. Emahiser is chief operating officer of Stealth Trailers.
In a written statement, Kelly Rose said the move by Emahiser would help position the company for growth and expansion.
“Don (Emahiser) brings a wealth of executive leadership in his ability to lead people. He is a great people person as well as being a seasoned business entrepreneur,” Rose said. “We are extremely excited to have Don on the Stealth team as we continue to position for further growth and expanding our dealer partnerships.”
Bristol, Ind.-based Stealth Trailers was founded in 2008 as Stealth Enterprises, and lists former EverGreen founder Mike Schoeffler as the registered agent in documents filed with the state as recently as June 8, a day after rumors began circulating that EverGreen RVs would cease operations.
In the June 8 documents, which declare Qualitec as an assumed business name for Stealth Enterprises, the company listed Travis Eull as the company’s manager.
In 2014, Eull told Southwestern Michigan College alumni magazine, Southwester, that Stealth employed about 150 at the time.
Emahiser previously worked at CrossRoads RV until he resigned in August 2013. He later joined Skyline Corp., and following EverGreen RVs acquisition of Skyline’s RV group, the company tapped Emahiser to lead the Skyline RV division in November 2014.
In August last year, Emahiser took the reins as EverGreen president, a position he held until the company ceased operations in early June.
