The RV Dealers Association of Alberta has cancelled its annual golf tournament in an effort to save money, the group reported in a news release Wednesday.
The event had been slotted for Nov. 6 in Las Vegas.
“After a long discussion and deliberation and wanting to be fiscally responsible with your Association funds and due to the weakened economy and the lack of registrations, your board has made the unanimous decision to be financially responsible and cancel the golf tournament scheduled for Bear's Best Golf Course,” RVDA of Alberta Executive Vice President Dan Merkowsky said in a written statement.
The group’s annual general meeting will still be held in Las Vegas on Nov. 7.
Merkowsky added that attendees registered for both RVDA of Alberta’s general meeting and the national RVDA Convention/Expo will receive a $500 reimbursement.
