The Wildcat division of Elkhart, Ind.-based Forest River is expanding its product offering with the introduction of a wide body series of fifth wheels targeting the mid-priced market segment, the company said in a news release Wednesday (July 27).
"The extra width of the WB Series is going to open up numerous floorplan possibilities,” Wildcat Sales Manager Chris Saal said. “Our very first model, the 30WB, is a perfect example of what we can do with these critical inches. Extra walk-around space beside the bed, an innovative bathroom layout, and a full sized bed lift system would not be possible in a conventional eight foot wide unit.”
Additional wide body floorplans are scheduled for release later this fall and will feature residential refrigerators, 50-inch LED televisions, and high profile bedroom designs with king size bed options.
Many of the floorplan advantages offered in the WB Series will not result in higher costs to the customer, according to the release.
“We’ve worked hard to position Wildcat as an aggressive price leader without compromising features, quality or eye appeal. We intend to take that same approach with the WB Series to further separate Wildcat from the competition,” Saal said.
