Construction has begun on a $3.8 million Bent’s RV location on in Boutte, La., the St. Charles Herald Guide reports.
Brian Bent, who co-owns the dealership with his brother, Greg, said the 22-acre site will include a 20,000 square-foot showroom that will be among the largest of its kind in Louisiana.
This is the brothers’ second RV and service dealership in the state, which opened in April 2014. Their original dealership, which also includes a boat dealership, opened in Metairie in 2002.
In addition to the showroom, the Boutte project will expand the existing site to include a 50,000 square-foot building, 40 vehicle service bays and a 7,000 square-foot parts and accessories retail store.
Pilings have been driven in the ground and some of the slab poured as work begins on the project, Bent said.
March of 2017 is the targeted opening date for the new facility.
