A security guard at an east Elkhart RV company stumbled on an armed burglar early Saturday, the Elkhart Truth reports.
The Elkhart Police Department responded to Thor Motor Coach, 701 C.R. 15, at 2:41 a.m. in response to the burglary. A security guard said she was doing a check of the building when someone dressed all in black jumped out from behind a garbage bin, said police spokesman Sgt. Chris Snyder.
The burglar pointed a handgun at the guard and then fled the area.
While investigating the scene, police discovered signs of forced entry to the building and learned that electronics had been stolen from the business.
