REV Recreation Group will roll to the RV Industry Association National RV Trade Show in Louisville, Ky., with an industry-first innovation, the company said in a news release Tuesday (Nov. 8).

REV Recreation will feature a rubber shackle ‘airless’ suspension system with an upgraded sway bar on a Class A Ford F-53 chassis.

Partnering with MORryde, REV unveiled the exclusive REV Control Ryde ride and handling system in July on both Fleetwood RV’s and Holiday Rambler’s revamped Class C lineup. Now for the Nov. 28-Dec. 1 Louisville show, REV will introduce the handling system on select Class A gas models, starting with the Fleetwood Flair LXE and the Holiday Rambler Admiral.

The REV Control RydeTM system borrows scrupulous engineering from the ambulance industry, which demands a smooth transport for patients. REV’s RCR system is able to tackle the roughest roads thanks to MORryde’s RS suspension system, which uses unique rubber shear springs that work in concert with leaf springs to cushion the motorhome and absorb road shock. This system increases suspension travel without the fuss of high-maintenance air bags.

Jack Enfield, MORryde Sales and Marketing Manager, called the RCR system “a cut above” typical motorhome leaf spring systems when REV rolled out the REV Control Ryde in July. “It’s definitely a step up for the industry, and we’re proud to have partnered with REV to deliver the RS suspension system to the motorhome market,” he said.

REV RV Group President Jim Jacobs encourages dealers test drive these two Class A gas motorhomes to fully experience the REV Control Ryde.

“This introduction marks the first time anyone in the industry has combined the RS suspension system with an upgraded sway bar on the Ford F-53 chassis,” Jacobs said. “Not only does this add comfort and ease to the driver, but it adds a level of safety with the improved control and anti-dive. This will be a game changer for the entry-level gas market.”

The Fleetwood Flair LXE and the Holiday Rambler Admiral will also feature another upgrade for 2017 — full-body paint options, which REV unveiled at September’s Open House in Elkhart, Ind. REV Recreation Group features its very own 125,000-square-foot- facility with six different downdraft booth stations to create a pristine look.

RV dealers can learn more about REV Control RydeTM at the REV display at Booth 1401 in the South Wing.
