Heartland RVs is going all-in with its new manufacturing facility in Nampa, the company's president told the Idaho Press on Wednesday.
Heartland is preparing to open the new location in Nampa, Idaho, and eventually, the facility will have two production lines that complete a total of 20 units per day, Heartland President Chris Hermon said.
A Wilderness travel trailer, one of the models the company will make in Nampa, was on display in front of the facility Wednesday for a ribbon cutting to celebrate the new location.
The first production line is expected to begin by March 1 and will produce about eight to 10 units per day. The company is already looking for more land locally for a third line, Hermon said.
Heartland held a job fair Wednesday to begin looking for the 120 employees it plans to have in 2016.
The company plans to increase that to 275 employees in Nampa within three years. The jobs will pay an average yearly salary of $38,250, according to the company's announcement in September.
