Stealth Trailers, a leading manufacturer of cargo trailers, announced the addition of a manufacturing facility in Marion, Ind. This would be its second regional location in Indiana. Company headquarters and manufacturing has been in Bristol for the past 10 years, and continues to operate at that complex. The new Marion location plans to hire an additional 115 employees.
There is no plan to change any part of the operations at the Bristol location. The new facility is being opened to increase capacity and improve production lead-time in the Midwest. The factory will be a complete trailer manufacturing operation, including welding, assembly and final finishing.
“We wanted to stay true to our Indiana roots, and Marion stood out as a region with a skilled workforce, and in need of quality employers,” said Don Emahiser, president of Stealth Trailers. “A big thank you to the Indiana Economic Development Corporation for their tremendous support in helping us choose this location.”
The city of Marion also supports the project, and Northeast Indiana Works will provide additional hiring and training assistance.
Stealth is the value and volume leader in this region of the industry, according to a Statistical Surveys report. The company plans a nationwide expansion in the near future.
